Our History

Desert Life Church began in 1998 when the NFL's Arizona Cardinals drafted Andre Wadsworth. He came to the valley with a vision that extended beyond the playing field. He and Pastor Troy Johnson endeavored to establish regular Bible studies that were focused on serving the athletic and business community throughout the Phoenix region.

 The results were very fruitful—people experienced the power and love of the Gospel, put their faith in Christ alone for salvation, husbands and their wives were reconciled, families were restored, and importantly, lives were changed for the better! 

 These Bible studies grew and soon became a formal church gathering. On Easter, April 15, 2001, we held our very first church service. Since then, many people discovered the joy of spiritual family.  The initial name of the church was "Morning Star Life Church", however soon after our establishment in the Scottsdale Airpark (July 2003), our local identity became "Desert Life Church".

 From then till now, we have faithfully served and reached people of all ages throughout the entire valley. Through the years, Desert Life Church has grown from a few families attending a Bible study to a healthy and vibrant church community.
