Many of us struggle with the idea of forgiveness. We feel sometimes that the things we’ve done are too evil to merit grace. That’s exactly what forgiveness is — “Grace” which means undeserved favor! Jesus said that all the sins of men will be forgiven (Mark 3:28). However, in order to receive the forgiveness that Jesus promises we must confess our sins to Him. 1 John 1:9 says that if we confess our sins, God is faithful and just and will forgive us and purify us from all unrighteousness.

When i am a christian, will all my problems disappear?
Friday, October 2nd, 2009When we experience the miracle of salvation, God gives us a new and blessed life. He promises to give us His grace, goodness and guidance all the days of our lives.1 Although our new life is truly ”blessed”, it is necessary to clarify that ”blessed” does not mean exemption from problems, pains or sufferings. Jesus said, ”In this world you will have trouble. But take heart [be of courage]! I have overcome the world” (John 16:33). Jesus affirms that difficult times will come, however we can face them with courage because He is our confidence and victory in every circumstance — for better or worse (1 Jn 4:4; 5:5). And with God’s Word and grace, we also find the strength to overcome problems associated with selfish desires and sinful living.2
